A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Commercial Manager, you will work on exciting and challenging opportunities in a highly motivated, cross-functional team! You will manage the complete P&L for the assigned Direct Business Projects of GT PR in Saudi Arabia. In addition, you will manage all commercial and financial topics throughout the whole sales and bid process and be responsible for producing bids from a commercial point of view for the Grid Technologies Products!
How You’ll Make an Impact
Commercial Project Management (75%):
• Successful execution of the full scope of financial and commercial activities in accordance with Siemens Energy Project Excellence standards and Financial Reporting Guidelines, with high accuracy and focus on forecast quality.
• Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and other transactional business.
• Managing, monitoring and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care (e.g., project gross profit, cash flow, assets and financing instruments)
• Monitoring, controlling and reporting of Project costs, assets, liabilities and cashflow for multiple projects.
• Identifying, and signalling deviations, managing risks and opportunities, proposing corrective measures
• Preparation, handling and monitoring of Projects forecasts and reflect them in the respective tools jointly with project team.
• Issuance and timely submission of Project billing as specified in customer contract and regulations.
• Providing information and commercial/financial reports necessary for project review, indicating deviations, recommending, and accompanying the action plans to be implemented
• Contribution to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
• Prepare documents monthly Project Review Meetings, assigned action items and monitor the progress.
• Prepare and keep auditable documentation for Project.
• Proactively identification of Risks and taking necessary measures to mitigate these identified risks.
• Managing foreign currency risk in the projects in line with hedging/currency guidelines
• Managing Hedge Accounting method for FX deals in projects.
Commercial Sales Management (25%):
• Review the customer requirements and take the lead on all commercial aspects such as bid-specific terms and conditions, tax and currency concepts, import duties, credit risk management, financial securities (letters of credit/bank guarantees/securities), terms of payments, cash flow analysis, and insurances, all the way to bid submission and post bid follow-ups.
• Partner with technical sales and bid manager to develop a winning strategy.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant internal rules & guidelines including Limits of Authority (LoA), FRG, tax, trade finance, or currency guidelines.
• Take ownership in defining an efficient business model and contract structure.
• Closely involved with contract negotiations, such as project terms & conditions.
• Lead commercial contract development and review for new customers, especially the and be a strategic partner to our technical sales team.
• Actively drive relationship management with internal & external functions, e.g. management, finance, legal, insurance, taxes & customers.
• Prepare and present your bid during the Limits of Authority (LoA) according to the required level.
• Assure bid and contract award are in compliance with accounting standards (i.e. IFRS, Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guideline) to secure order intake and revenue recognition.
What You Bring
• University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commercial discipline from recognized finance or accounting body is desirable.
• At least 5 Years’ experience in contract negotiations, commercial project management, financial project controlling, or cost estimations preferably within the Transmission sector.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, Siemens Energy Limits of Authority tools and templates.
• Commercial project management-certification is preferrable (CAT S or higher).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Analytical thinking as well thinking out-of-the-box.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, good networking, negotiating, and influencing skills.
• Ability to handle day to day Project related issues independently.
• Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations.
• Proven integrity and high personal standards of behavior.
• Experience in working in a multinational and multicultural environment, as well as proven interpersonal skills and ability to successfully engage with diverse
