    What you’ll do

    As a Credit Risk Analyst, you’ll be supporting the business through developing and maintaining risk and decision support strategies, providing other analytically driven insight and innovative solutions to achieve future priorities.

    You’ll also be:

    • Supporting the analytical requirements from the credit portfolio teams on areas such as leading indicators, forward looking credit risks and potential threats to the portfolio from wider economic and market threats
    • Making sure that the personal and private mortgage portfolios continue to perform within risk limit frameworks
    • Driving active and effective change management through the successful design, development and delivery of key strategic initiatives
    • Liaising and influencing the franchise regarding ongoing credit customer management and projects
    • Providing insight and challenge where appropriate, while contributing to the automation agenda

    The skills you’ll need

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need a degree level qualification, ideally in a numerate discipline and experience with coding languages, coupled with excellent data driven analytical skills.

    In addition, you’ll demonstrate:

    • A good understanding of the banking industry and a desire to develop a career in risk management
    • Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools
    • Project management skills and the ability to work as a team and with stakeholders
    • An ability to explain technical subject matter to a nontechnical audience
