    Planner / Digital Data Analyst

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join
    our business planning team at Siemens Energy in Newcastle UK.. As a Planner / Digital Data Analyst, you will be responsible for
    developing, monitoring, and maintaining detailed project schedules using
    Primavera P6. Additionally, you will conduct data analysis through Alteryx and
    Microsoft Excel to inform decision-making and improve project outcomes. This
    role requires a meticulous individual with a strong foundation in project
    management principles, keen analytical skills, and the ability to manage
    multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. It provides an
    excellent opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting,
    gain hands-on experience, and grow professionally in project management and
    scheduling.

    How You’ll Make an Impact


    – Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, covering all
    phases of project life cycles from initiation to closure.
    – Perform data collection, analysis, and interpretation using Alteryx and
    Microsoft Excel to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and provide actionable
    insights for project optimization.
    – Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to
    ensure schedule alignment with project objectives and constraints.
    – Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the planned schedule, and
    recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
    – Prepare and present regular reports on schedule status, risks, and variances
    to project stakeholders.
    – Assist in the development of project planning standards and procedures to
    enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
    – Participate in project review meetings, offering insights and recommendations
    based on schedule analysis.

    What You Bring


    – HND / Degree in Data Analysis, Business and Management, or a related field is
    beneficial.
    – Experience in project management, scheduling, and data analysis through
    internships or project work is beneficial.
    – Experience using software such as Primavera P6, Alteryx, and Tableau.
    – Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets and
    extract meaningful insights.
    – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work
    collaboratively across diverse teams.
    – Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet
    deadlines.
    – Knowledge of project management principles and practices, including an
    understanding of the full project life cycle.


    A Snapshot of a Typical Day:

    Start the day by reviewing emails and updates from project teams, noting any
    changes or new information that might impact schedules. Open Primavera P6 to
    update project schedules with the latest progress reports, adjusting timeless
    as necessary. Run a series of analyses using Alteryx on recent data to identify
    any trends or discrepancies that need attention. Prepare a mid-morning report
    in Excel summarizing key findings from the data analysis, highlighting any
    potential impact on project schedules. Attend a project team meeting to discuss
    the current status, present the schedule updates, and provide recommendations
    based on the latest data analysis. In the afternoon, work on developing a new
    project schedule, incorporating input from project managers to ensure accuracy
    and feasibility. End the day by reviewing the next day’s agenda, setting up
    meetings as needed, and organizing tasks to ensure a productive start in the
    morning.
