About the role:
- To assist or enable individuals to remain living within the community, enhancing the quality of their lives and supporting and maintaining them safely in their own environment, and to provide support to individuals as required to meet their outcomes.
- To oversee and maintain the care and support of individuals within Bodlondeb, Wardens and Home support Services with responsibility for the day-to-day management. To lead a team of Senior Support workers and support workers across the services
- ensuring effective delivery of outcome focused care and support.
About you:
- Ability to communicate with people in most appropriate manner.
- Ability and experience in terms of undertaking non-complex needs assessment and positive risk taking.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and accept responsibility for delegated tasks.
- Good report and recording skills.
- Ability to assess staff, in relation to areas of risk, matching staff to situations, managing conflict.
What you will do:
- To provide strong leadership and management of the service day to day.
- To provide leadership in terms of motivation, change management and reflective practice which promotes user independence and meets people’s needs.
- To lead a team of Senior Support workers and support workers across the services ensuring effective delivery of outcome focused care and support.
- To ensure compliance with relevant legislation and the approved policies and procedures of Powys County Council.
- To ensure compliance with Registration and Inspection of Social Care Act 2016 (RISCA 2016).
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
