    Siemens Energy is seeking an industry thought leader for Director of Technical Solutions, Sales, North America to the company’s continued growth while upholding Siemens Energy’s core values.

    As the Director of Technical Solutions, Sales, North America you will have the exciting opportunity to develop and implement critical initiatives to enhance Siemens Energy’s position in the maritime market across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive knowledge a passion for hybrid electric propulsion in the North American maritime industry. This remote position reports directly to the Head of Marine Sales in North America and requires sufficient travel (approximately up to 30%) to satisfy the role’s responsibilities.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Serve as an inspiring leader for Siemens Energy (SE) at key industry events, presenting technical solutions and networking with naval architects to manage and build relationships.
    • Assume chair/membership roles in industry groups, showcasing expertise in technical solutions and enhancing marketing strategies and materials to boost awareness of SE’s achievements and capabilities.
    • Publish white papers to promote the advancement of hybrid technology within the maritime industry, positioning SE as a leader in innovative solutions.
    • Foster interdepartmental collaboration to uncover new business opportunities and establish key thought leadership positions within the industry.
    • Engage in opportunity pursuit teams, offering proposal development support, and presenting customized solutions to shipowners, yards, and designers that underline the advantages of SE’s products.
    • Lead in securing business opportunities through effective contract negotiations, technical scope management, and the preparation of precise quotations.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Electrical Engineering, with preference for Master’s degree holders in the same fields.
    • At least 15 years of sales experience in the US or Canadian maritime industry, with a solid record of deploying successful sales and marketing strategies.
    • Well-established network within the maritime sector, especially among naval architects and marine engineers, and a passion for hybrid electric propulsion trends.
    • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills, capable of translating complex information into compelling value propositions.
    • Innovative and technical problem solver dedicated to advancing green technology in the maritime industry, coupled with a proactive, self-motivated, and responsible attitude.
    • Strong influencer with a collaborative attitude, adept at building and maintaining professional networks, clear and assertive communication, and a commitment to excellence and adherence to company policies.

    Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

    This remote role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $108,900 – $253,500 and the annual incentive target is 15% of base salary.

    Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
