    SYDENHAM HIGH SCHOOL GDST

    Sydenham High School is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable DT Technician to provide technical support to our Design and Technology department.

    As a DT Technician, you will work closely with class teachers to ensure the safe delivery of practical activities in the workshop. This will involve:

    • Preparing and clearing away equipment and materials
    • Demonstrating the use and care of machinery and equipment
    • Monitoring stock levels
    • Maintaining equipment
    • Assisting with the supervision of practical tasks and helping students when necessary

    You will also assist with our DT displays, including our annual DT and Art exhibition.

    You will need an A Level (or a relevant technician qualification) in at least one design discipline, along with detailed knowledge and experience of Design Technology, including CAD, 3D printing and Adobe Suite software. You will have previously worked with a wide range of materials and equipment and will also possess considerable experience within an education-based DT workshop.
