Enterprise Coordinator
Fixed Term Contract until August 2025
The South London Partnership are looking for a dynamic Enterprise Coordinator, to become the engine of the South London Careers Hub. Part of a national network of Careers Hubs, in this exciting role, you will be key to supporting schools and colleges improve careers activities in south London and responding to the needs of the local economy.
You will be customer focused, a self-starter and team player, with experience of building partnerships, creating networks and maintaining strong relationships. You will be responsible for building strong and sustained partnerships with educational establishments, employers and local businesses to develop a careers programme that responds to the economic and strategic aims of south London helping young people make informed decisions about their next steps towards a good job. This is a fixed term post until August 2025.
The South London Partnership is a cross-political party sub-regional collaboration of five London boroughs: Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Richmond upon Thames and Sutton hosted by Richmond and Wandsworth Better Partnership Services. Keys skills Enterprise Coordinator will require:
- Engaging local employers and business across the South London region to connect and support schools and college with their career provision, enabling the creation of a homegrown talent pipeline of young people skilled and ready for work in South London.
- Strengthening and building networks and partnerships across a range of stakeholders including schools and colleges, Careers Leaders, SENCOs, local and national businesses, local authorities, careers support providers.
- Strengthening and supporting careers education by helping businesses and careers leader to work together to develop high quality and innovative careers programmes and activities.
About the role
As an Enterprise Coordinator you will have the opportunity to make a material impact on the lives of young people in south London by increasing the interactions and activities that they have with employers and promoting the breadth of job opportunities in a post covid economy.
You will work with stakeholders to facilitate the development of innovative careers and meaningful experiences of the world of work activities, aimed at helping young people carve out a pathway towards an exciting career and to create a talent pool of people who will be at the heart of the future south London economy.
You will be passionate about connecting and building strong relationships between key stakeholders and enabling young people to imagine themselves in the world of work.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience working within the careers landscape
- Experience of developing, implementing and delivering projects that support young people
- Experience of developing sustainable and effective partnerships with key stakeholders including education and employers
- Effective project management skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
