Field-Based Role (with regular team meetings in Crewe, Cheshire)Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Car + Bonus/Commission StructureHours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (Half day on Fridays)

About the Role

A well-established organisation within the engineering solutions sector is seeking a driven and commercially minded Territory Sales Engineer to manage and grow a defined geographic area. This is a field-based sales role ideal for an individual who thrives on building strong, long-term customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities within an engineering-led environment.

You will take ownership of your territory, working closely with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions across a portfolio of engineering products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop sales within an assigned territory, focusing on both existing accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Promote and sell a range of engineering-focused products, services, and solutions.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
  • Identify new opportunities through proactive prospecting, site visits, and market research.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry through to quotation, negotiation, and order completion.
  • Maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline using CRM systems.
  • Provide technical and commercial guidance to customers, aligning solutions to their operational needs.
  • Gather market and competitor intelligence to support pricing, product positioning, and strategy.
  • Attend regular team meetings, training sessions, and product updates in Crewe.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical support, operations, and customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in field-based, technical, or engineering-led sales.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage and grow a defined territory.
  • Confident engaging customers in technical discussions and solution-based selling.
  • Experience working with both existing clients and new business development.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in the field.
  • Relevant technical qualification, degree, or equivalent practical experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence.
