    Our client, an international wildlife conservation charity is seeking a senior-level financial and commercial reporting manager to lead their team of finance business partners.

    Purpose of the role

    In this visible, high-profile position, you will work directly with senior stakeholders and be responsible for overseeing all of their business and commercial reporting, including monthly performance reporting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPIs.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Promote a strong business partnering culture between finance and all stakeholders, including senior stakeholders and budget holders
    • Manage month-end close and the timely preparation of high quality monthly financial reports to support their commercial reporting and analysis
    • Deliver timely and meaningful insights into their business and commercial performance to key budget holders and their leadership teams to support strategic decision making
    • Lead and manage their forecasting processes by developing robust forecasts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring all key inputs are thoroughly reviewed and challenged for accuracy
    • Lead their business planning and annual budgeting processes, including preparation of executive presentations and reports for the Executive Committee, Board Finance Committee, and Council, ensuring alignment with their strategic priorities.

    About You

    They’re looking for a strategic finance expert with a proven track record in driving business performance through financial insights and reporting. You must be a qualified accountant, as well as having a blend of the following:

    • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to align financial insights with business objectives.
    • Proven ability to lead a small team effectively, providing direction, support and coaching
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing support with constructive challenge
    • Excellent skills in analysing complex data, offering insights from both financial and non-financial information

    This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to be in their office two days per week.
