    This is a pivotal position within the function to take ownership of all aspects of UK finance. The role will work alongside the Group Financial Controller, and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This is an extremely balanced opportunity that will assist the Group Financial Controller by being responsible for the UK financial reporting requirements and feeding into the top level international group, whilst taking ownership for the day to day operational finance requirements.

    The departmental plan for this role would be for it to become role focused both domestically and internationally (Europe) within the future.

    The key components of the role will include:

    Operational Finance

    • Ownership of UK operational finance
    • Business partnering with SLT & Heads to influence strategy, direction and decision making through financial analysis
    • Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs
    • Involvement in extremely high value & profile projects
    • Partnering with FP&A to aid commercial finance analysis
    • Operational finance reporting – OPEX, CAPEX, costs, KPI’s
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems for operational UK finance

    Financial Reporting

    • Feeding into top level international group
    • Assisting with statutory accounts for multiple entities including consolidations
    • Assisting with monthly management accounts
    • Balance sheet integrity and reconciliations
    • Managing of fixed assets
    • Managing intercompany transactions
    • Ensuring a robust month-end close
    • Assisting with VAT & taxation returns
    • Assisting with cash management, treasury and cashflow forecasting
    • Overseeing transactional finance – AP and AR

    Candidate Profile

    We are keen to engage with candidates that meet the following criteria:

    • Qualified Accountant with good post qualification tenure
    • Competent in financial reporting – ideally with group and IFRS exposure
    • Can demonstrate operational finance experience – ideally in a project environment
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
