HVAC Engineer required to work on hotel and hospitality facilities across Cumbria.

Your new role
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in HVAC systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation components.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as compressors, thermostats, ductwork, and fans, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure systems are running at peak efficiency and recommend upgrades or adjustments to improve performance.
- Conduct system audits and energy assessments to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions for energy conservation.
- Monitor energy use and provide recommendations to reduce operational costs while maintaining comfort levels.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies in HVAC systems, such as smart controls and energy-efficient solutions, and suggest improvements where applicable.
- Ensure HVAC systems meet all local building codes, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HVAC system regulations, including refrigerant handling, venting, and air quality standards.
- Provide guidance on safe operating procedures and ensure that systems are operating in compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on HVAC system performance, system upgrades, and energy-saving measures.
- Respond to service requests from clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and effective solutions.
- Provide training to clients or internal teams on HVAC system maintenance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Prepare detailed reports on system conditions, repairs completed, and performance assessments.
- Document any modifications or improvements made to HVAC systems and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
- Respond to urgent repair requests during off-hours or in emergency situations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system failures quickly to restore service and ensure the safety and comfort of building occupants.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Additional certifications in specialized HVAC areas (e.g., air handling units, advanced refrigeration). (Desirable)
- Experience with energy management systems and energy-efficient HVAC technologies. (Desirable)
- Valid driver’s license (for field-based positions).
