A Snapshot of Your Days
Candidate will be representing the Commissioning Group on
worldwide project assignments. By commissioning the Siemens Energy scope on
large scale projects i.e., world class and low emission Power Plants, Grid
Stabilizing Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems you actively contribute to
the energy transition. In a multinational team on site, you will commission
individual components or entire systems and ensure quality of our services.
Feedback of on-site experience to the engineering teams ensures that our
products are subject to continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact / Responsibilities
Mandatory Flexibility and Willingnes to travel
Internationally for extended periods (up to one year)
HW design check, cubicle electrical test (DC C&P
cubicles, Measuring System, Transient Fault Recorder)
Offsite Testing (FPT) and Onsite Testing & Commissioning
of the DC Protection system (uploading of SW, preparation testing
files,protection function test, evaluation and submission of test results)
Offsite Testing (FPT) and Onsite Testing & Commissioning
of C&P Measuring System (uploading of SW, signal check)
Offsite Testing (FPT) and Onsite Testing & Commissioning
of Transient Fault Recorder (SW Setup, Settings, Signal Check)
Offsite Testing: Performing Functional and Dynamic
Performance Test including documentation, internal and with customers
Onsite Testing & Commissioning Primary Sytems &
Components including AC & DC Voltage Measuring Devices, AC & DC Current
Measuring Devices incl. Zero Flux Measuring Devices. (Electrical Primary Checks
and Signal Checks)
Onsite Testing: Performing Station and System Tests
including documentation with customers in coordination with Testing Lead and
Comm. Team
Quality management: taking care and clarification of
improvements, weak points, malfunctions and open points (LoP’s)
Offsite and Onsite: Test Documentation preparation and
submission & Revision of drawings (Redmarks)additional Participation in
offline testing using MATLAB Simulink SimCap (optional)additional Active
compliance and application of current requirements and regulations regarding
occupational and health protection in the work area (EHS
What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities
Professional Education Engineer (Electrical Power Systems);
Completed Electrical apprenticeship
Degree in Bachelor (B.Eng. / B.Sc) in Electrical Systems, IT
or Communication Engineering
Professional experience Hands-on Work Experience with
Computer and Communication Systems
Foreign languages Fluent English / Basic German (optional)
Basic Knowledge of computer systems, domains, IP-based
networks and an understanding of IT security
Basic knowledge of
programming and visualization of processes
Basic Knowledge and understanding of Communication
standards/systems (e.g. IEC 61850)
Methodical competences:
- Affinity to work with and
on computers - Able to work independently
on a HV Substation or remotely - Systematic troubleshooting
- Quality management,
change/claim management, and project progress Reporting - Occupational Safety, Fire
Fighting, First Aid and Accident prevention mindset - Medical suitability,
