A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our activities, you work on our customers’ sites to carry out the installation of GIS – Gas Insulated Switchgear. You are responsible for your team and the subcontractors working on your behalf. You are the guarantor of compliance with the installation and/or maintenance procedures recommended by the factories, and you are also the guarantor of compliance with deadlines in accordance with the site schedule established in advance. Finally, you ensure the safety of all people working on your site.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Technical responsibility for an assigned assembly team, ensuring technically perfect, timely, and cost-effective installation of gas insulated high voltage feeders and related control cubicles.
- Responsible for EHS compliance, planning and processing site logistics, and schedule tracking based on existing supervision time schedules.
- Clarification of technical problems during erection, quality assurance, non-conformity reporting, and advising/instructing erection personnel.
- Preparation of erection documentation, including erection reports, as-built documentation, weekly progress reports, and final task reports.
- Support of the commissioning team and worldwide deployment for the erection of gas insulated high voltage switchgear according to contract and deadlines.
- Assembly, troubleshooting, and rectification of Siemens energy GIS’s, handling GIS tools and equipment, and applying Siemens Energy construction/assembly drawings and work instructions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, Energy technology or comparable education / qualification.
- Proficient English language skills, further language skills are very welcome
- Availability for traveling internationally, approximately 90% of the time (Willingness and ability for worldwide for frequent business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in Europe, as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations.
- Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks
