The Organisation
Our client is a charity supporting the needs of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.
They are now looking for an ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advocate) to join them on a fixed-term basis to March 2025, working 37 hours per week. This role is permanent, subject to funding continuation.

The Role
As an ISVA, you will provide vital advocacy and support to lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer victims-survivors of sexual violence.
Helping people navigate the criminal justice process and access support services, you’ll hold a caseload of clients, conducting holistic assessments of their needs and risks.
You will develop support plans and advocate for them in relation to reporting options, court proceedings, and accessing other services.
Additionally, you will:
– Act as a single point of contact for victims-survivors
– Provide emotional and practical support
– Work with external partners and agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach
– Support the co-ordination of the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (DASV) Programme
About You
To be considered as an ISVA, you will need:
– Case management experience in a similar role
– Experience in assessing needs and risks
– Experience in supporting victims-survivors within the Criminal Justice System
– Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence and its impact on lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer communities
– A completed ISVA training qualification
