Job Title: IT Configuration Engineer (CAD)
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £52,000+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Assisting in defining strategic vision for the Architecture of the SSNA Programme
- Providing key interface between functional capability delivery to develop and optimize (People / Process / Tools), ensuring SSNA programme requirements are aligned and fed in.
- Inputting and advising the SSNA Programme Architecture Authority Forum
- Working closely with SSNA and IM&T Solution Architects, and business analysts, to ensure IM&T input and output data is correct meets the needs of the Engineering life cycle
- Supporting IM&T Project methodologies and approach (i.e. NXGenDigital and SSNA systems)
- Maintaining overview of wider business system improvements
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- A deep understanding of design toolset / CAD / PLM / Teamcenter / NX
- Background in data management principals including creating data structures and support capabilities, developing data models
- A good understanding of the whole Engineering Lifecycle
Desirable:
- Experience of the engineering manufacturing industry
- Degree level qualifications or extensive subs knowledge

The SSNA Team:
You will be supporting the SSNA programme, working within the programme architect authority team to provide guidance and strategic oversight on the capabilities being deployed onto the SSNA programme. You will have the opportunity to be involved with strategic improvement and provide influence and make your mark on work & projects. This role will also give you the chance for liaising with a variety of business units and building lasting relationships, while also giving yourself the chance to develop and progress your career with BAE Systems.
