    IT Manager

    £50k to £53K dependant on experience

    Our client is a market-leading and international supplier of aluminium food packaging, renowned for innovation, quality and service. As they continue with ambitious growth plans, they are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance their team on an exciting journey.

    They have an opening for an experienced IT Manager, within a progressive, market leading food packaging organisation.

    As an IT manager you will have experience keeping IT systems, networks and equipment safe, up-to-date and effective within a multisite internal IT infrastructure. You will be the main point of contact for system related queries and will be self-motivated to resolve any issues that occur, as well as work to improve and develop their internal system across sites ensuring that future proofing is a priority.

    This position is open to applicants who are looking for a long-term permanent position but is also open to individuals who would consider a shorter-term interim position.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Have a degree in IT systems or similar or have relevant industry experience
    • Experience in software management
    • Experience of leading day-to-day IT service delivery
    • Demonstrate Project Management capabilities
    • Have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks
    • Previous experience in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment ideally food
    • Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems (desirable)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining an internal IT network, ensuring systems are kept protected and efficient for all users.
    • Troubleshooting any technical issues that occur. This may involve traveling across multiple sites to ensure the best and most effective outcome.
    • Manage service desk activity including incident management and coordinating recovery of service on incidence.
    • Owning the successful delivery of a fit-for-purpose technology system.
    • Maintaining database security, ensuring adequate protection across the internal database.
    • Prepare cost benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor suppliers to ensure that they re offering the best-possible service and value for business needs.
