    About the role:

    The Communications Officer will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Communications Team, working across functions on a wide range of projects including digital marketing, social media and internal communications for Ark. This role reports to the Digital Project Manager but will work closely with all members of the team.

    This role is ideal for an early career candidate who is keen to gain experience within a dynamic, high-functioning communications team. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop a variety of skills related to organic and paid marketing campaigns, research and analytics, content creation, external and internal communications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn campaign management, including creating assets and adverts, as well as reporting on campaign performance
    • Maintain dashboards, tracking social media growth and engagement
    • Work alongside members of the communications team to draft, design and schedule social media content in support of Ark’s schools and ventures
    • Contribute to storytelling and brand-building activities through the production of creative video, photography and design assets
    • Help maintain and improve the quality of Ark websites by testing new features, as well as implementing content and design changes
    • Assist with the production of internal and external newsletters and bulletins
    • Support the wider events, marketing and recruitment work of the team

    Key Requirements:

    • Right to work in the UK
    • Degree level or equivalent
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • A strong understanding of social media and channel management
    • Experience setting up and managing organic and paid campaigns in Meta and LinkedIn
    • Familiarity with key marketing metrics and confident handling and analysing data
    • Experience producing creative content for a range of audiences and channels
    • Confident adding and editing content on websites (basic knowledge of HTML and CSS beneficial)
    • At least one year of experience of working in a communications team or a related field, supporting communications and/or marketing activities across a range of channels
    • Organised with the ability to work across multiple projects in parallel
    • Responds flexibly and positively to unexpected changes or demands
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Works well both independently and collaboratively within a team
    • Willing to occasionally travel to Ark schools and programmes
