Your new role
is as the Lead Estimator for Civil Engineering & Infrastructure and will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, identifying potential issues, and pricing and producing tender submissions on first principles. This role involves analytical estimating to produce net cost estimates, preparing tender adjudication documents, and liaising with clients and consultants as needed. The candidate will produce pricing documents, procurement enquiry packages, and materials schedules from drawings and specifications. You will be in the South of England, so you can get to one of the offices spread across the South of England and out on site. Locations include Hampshire, Sussex, Middlesex & Kent.
What you’ll need to succeed
is previous experience as an Estimator on infrastructure / civil engineering / utilities in the UK, strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, financial awareness. Familiarity with tendering civil engineering projects and safety and security-critical infrastructure contracts is essential. The candidate must have demonstrable knowledge of CESSM, SMM7, and construction contracts such as NR, NEC, and ICC forms. Proficiency in Excel and estimating software like Causeway is required, along with a technical understanding of civil engineering processes and a proven history of successfully winning various projects.
