Lead Occupational Therapist
Salary : £48,000 – £52,000
Location: Potters Bar (Hertfordshire)
Hours: 37.5 hours
The Role:
You will be joining a service for adults and adolescents with Mental Health issues. Potters bar consists of 2 adult acute wards and 2 CAMHS low secure wards.
You will be managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across the CAMHS and Adult services, using evidence based and patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.
_ What will your duties include? _
Receiving and responding promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
Working to develop living skills, rehabilitation, and educational opportunities/therapies under the strategic direction of the Therapy Lead and other members of the Senior Management Team.
Ensuring the effective and efficient management of Occupational Therapists , Occupational Therapist Assistants and students.
Planning and implementing individual and group interventions collaboratively with Service users.
_ What we need from you? _
To be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist
At least 3 years post qualifying experience.
Substantial experience of working within Mental Health, preferably with both CAMHS and Adult experience
Substantial experience of inpatient work.
