Reed – Further Education are seeking a Library Assistant to work in there state of the art digital and learning centre.
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Library Assistant?
- Supporting the front desk
- Signing out resources
- Assisting with the resetting of passwords
- Supporting learners with digital skills such as google
- Ensuring the space is kept tidy and organised
- Dealing with learners who may misbehave
- Helping learners use the equipment i.e printing.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience of working in education would be ideal
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
- Experience interacting with 16-19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
