Contract role – Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer – Remote/England – 12 months contract – Inside IR35
We are seeking Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer
to supporting our client’s shared mainframe infrastructure.
- Role: Mainframe Sysprog System Programmer
- Location: England/Remote
- Job type: Contract – Inside IR35
- Duration: 12 months contract
- You must be eligible for UK Govt Security Clearance
- Mainframe Sysprog supporting and upgrading zOS and other software.
- IODF skills are very desirable.
- Experience working on shared infrastructure would really help.
- Strong experience working on IBM z/OS and Mainframe platforms
- Experience in the following: z/OS, IODF, ISPF, RACF, TCP/IP, VTAM, REXX
- Proven ability to learn and acquire new skills
- Ability to install, configure and upgrade IBM Mainframe software & Hardware
- Experience installing and working with Mainframe ISV software
- Good understanding of Mainframe modernisation and modern tooling
