    The Role Overview

    As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for group-wide financial reporting and analysis, while managing a small team. You will play a crucial role in supporting financial function within the business. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Financial Reporting – prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports, statements and reconciliations, including balance sheet, profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries, forecasting
    • Financial Analysis – analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management
    • Performance Reporting – create and present comprehensive management reports that highlight business performance and emerging trends
    • Risk Management – improve and implement risk management and internal controls and processes
    • Cost Management – analyse costs and recommend improvements to enhance profitability
    • Statutory Reporting – prepare statutory financial statements in collaboration with external financial accountants
    • Team Supervision – supervise and mentor the internal accounting team
    • Compliance and Controls – ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls and policies

    Desired Skills

    • CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (final stage)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience in a Management Accountant role
    • Strong understanding of accounting, finance principles and procedures
    • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and MS Excel
    • Natural problem solver
