    About the Role

    We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Mathematics
    to lead the Mathematics Department at a forward-thinking school in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to take on a leadership role, fostering academic excellence and driving progress within the department. The position involves full teaching responsibilities alongside leadership duties, offering a blend of classroom engagement and strategic oversight.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide dynamic leadership for the Mathematics Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
    • Lead curriculum planning, development, and implementation to support student achievement.
    • Inspire and manage a team of mathematics teachers, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department, implementing improvements where necessary.
    • Teach engaging and challenging mathematics lessons across Key Stages, fostering a love for the subject.
    • Ensure the department aligns with school policies and contributes to whole-school initiatives.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
      or equivalent.
    • A proven track record of success in teaching mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
    • Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
    • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
