As a Mechanical Engineer at Siemens Energy in Taoyuan, Taiwan, your day will be filled with dynamic challenges and fulfilling achievements. You will lead high-quality plant maintenance services at the Kuo Kuang combined cycle power plant. Your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of the plant, ensuring seamless energy generation. How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance activities at the combined cycle power plant Kuo Kuang in Taiwan.
- You will develop, review, and continuously optimize preventive maintenance schedules, procedures, and checklists to ensure flawless operations.
- You will ensure the plant’s equipment is maintained according to local environmental laws and regulations, contributing to our dedication to sustainability.
- You will actively supervise safe working activities and maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment.
- During unplanned events such as trips, interruptions, or failed starts, you will support troubleshooting and root cause analysis to successfully implement corrective/preventive actions.
- You will be part of an ambitious team, working together to achieve outstanding results and drive the mission of Siemens Energy forward.
What You Bring
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience as the foundation of your success.
- Solid knowledge in welding standards, boiler checks, and gas pressure vessels statutory requirements.
- Expertise in equipment vibration measurements and alignment checks.
- Proficiency in general NDT inspections.
- Skills to perform lathing, milling, and general machining work.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience with a focus on power plant service.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, along with solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- Very good written and spoken Mandarin is a must, and a good knowledge of English is desired.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. We provide zero or low emission power generation and consolidate all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof. Through modernization and digitalization of the fleet, we offer significant decarbonization opportunities.
