    Office Manager

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic Office Manager to join our client’s team in their BRAND NEW office in Basildon.     As an integral part of the team, you’ll be the backbone of the office operations, handling enquires, managing surveys, and ensuring seamless communication between various stakeholders. Lone working is the name of the game, and we’re seeking a self-starter who can embrace the autonomy and make a real impact.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Being the first point of contact for inbound enquiries.
    • Booking surveys onto the system and adding relevant information for the engineers.
    • Daily communication with Directors to update them on all enquiries, specifying the nature and source of each enquiry.
    • Coordinating document distribution and revisions among project stakeholders.
    • Promptly contacting customers within 12 hours of receiving enquiries and schedule surveys within 7-10 working days.
    • Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of office technology, software, and systems.
    • Managing employee records, including payroll, benefits, and performance evaluations.
    • Proactively remind customers 24 hours before scheduled surveys, collecting essential information for the surveyor.
    • Responsible for following up on quotes if no response is received within 7 calendar days.
    • Facilitating handovers of any jobs to the director with as much information as possible.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Full UK Driving Licence and own car
    • Attention to detail and good telephone manner required.
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
    • IT Literate Inc. Word, Outlook & Excel.
    • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
    • A “can do” attitude with a positive, patient, and assertive nature.
