About
the role
The
warehouse specialist is responsible for the efficient management of the
inventory and supplies at the Burullus Power Plant O&M site. This role
includes receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, normal and
special tools, and other items, ensuring accurate inventory records, and
maintaining a well-organized and safe storage environment. The Storekeeper will
also handle chemical materials, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and
proper storage practices.
How
You’ll Make an Impact
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming orders/shipments of
materials, equipment, normal and special tools, and chemical substances
against purchase orders and delivery notes. - Accurately record and update inventory data in the inventory
management system. - Store materials, equipment, normal and special tools, and
chemical substances in an organized manner, ensuring easy retrieval and
compliance with safety standards. - Issue materials, equipment, normal and special tools, and
chemical substances to authorized personnel, maintaining accurate records
of issued items. - Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile
discrepancies with inventory records. - Supervise stock levels and initiate reorders to prevent
shortages and ensure continuous availability of critical items. - Maintain a clean, organized, adhering to all safety
regulations and standard processes. - Handle chemical materials, following proper storage,
labeling, and disposal procedures to ensure safety regulations. - Lead the inventory and ensuring they are properly maintained,
calibrated, and stored. - Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and other
departments to ensure timely and efficient supply chain operations. - Prepare and maintain documentation related to inventory
transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns. - Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and analysis
to support decision-making processes. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance
inventory management efficiency.
What
You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional
education or certification in inventory - management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a storekeeper or in a
similar role, preferably in an industrial or power plant environment. - Experience in handling and storing chemical materials.
- Experience in leading special tools, including maintenance
and calibration. - Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and
Microsoft Office Suite. - Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and social skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standard processes in
storage and handling of materials, chemicals, and tools. - Operate hand pallets and forklifts to move and organize
inventory within the storage area. - Ensure the safe operation, performing routine maintenance
checks and reporting any issues.
