    A Snapshot of Your Day

Focus on the planning process, instead of the plan, and your Service business will be ready for anything. As part of the outage planning, the Pickering Site Project Manager oversees the execution team conducting the outage risk analysis and reviews the response plan, which details safety and risk issues, estimates cost, schedule, manpower, parts, and tooling impacts to the overall outage.

Support the Project Director which employs local labor subcontractors or partners and Siemens specialty field service organizations (e.g., Gas Turbine Technicians, Generator Services, Turbine Services, and Non-Destructive Examination Services) to secure personnel for the outages. For international assignments, the District Service Office (DSOs) / PM provide direction on visas, customs and any customer site, country or travel specific requirements.

The Pickering Site Manager provides a timely request to order and secure necessary tooling for outage requirements. This role will check with the tooling manager to verify tooling availability and verify accuracy/completeness of tooling sent to or received at site. A Readiness Review is performed to ensure the outage planning process is complete. The review outlines the responsibilities and steps for preparing, conducting, evaluating, and approving the outage plan.
