    Supporting individuals across the country, they offer a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.

    They are now looking for a Play and Youth Clubs Support Worker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

    Shifts:

    – Term time evening clubs Mon-Fri 17:30-21:30
    – All year-round Saturdays 9:30-16:45 or 10:30-17:45
    – All year-round Sundays 9:30-16:45
    – School Holidays Mon-Fri 9:30-16:45 or 10:30-17:45

    The Role

    As a Play and Youth Clubs Support Worker, you will support children and young people by facilitating engaging play and leisure activities.

    Collaborating closely with play and youth club supervisors, you will ensure the children and young people’s safety, promote their personal development and maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment.

    You will be responsible for following all relevant policies and procedures, keeping accurate records, ensuring hygiene and safety standards and supporting young people with their personal care and comfort.

    Additionally, you will:

    – Provide support during meals, considering dietary and cultural needs
    – Communicate any changes or concerns to senior staff

    Please note, due to our client’s open and collaborative working environment and the nature of their work with children and adults with disabilities, all office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.

    About You

    To be considered as a Play and Youth Clubs Support Worker, you will need:

    – A desire to ensure disabled people have access to the same opportunities as others
    – An enjoyment of working with young people
    – Good play and engagement skills
    – A good level of IT literacy

    All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known if you are on the DBS update service.
