Based in Edgbaston, Aquarius is a subsidiary of Waythrough, a national group of charities that are highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. Our harm prevention and support service for young people delivers a national Youth Programme that s tailored to build understanding and raise awareness of gambling-related harm and providing support via our Young People s Support Service. As a Prevention Education Trainer, your challenges will be many and varied. You will:
- Deliver accredited training to professionals, run engaging interactive workshops with young people and deliver awareness sessions with parents/carers
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain existing, and develop new, relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop your expertise, share best practice and act as a frontline ambassador for Aquarius, upholding our values and championing the organisation s work.
To succeed, you ll need:
- Experience of delivering training products tailored to a specific audience and/or delivering interactive, engaging activities to young people in small groups, classrooms or large assemblies
- Excellent public speaking, presentation and facilitation skills
- The ability to promote and market a service or programme and engage specific audiences to secure uptake of programme provision to meet targets
- The ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and keep accurate records, identify and secure future opportunities and promote other programmes/services
- To be flexible about working hours and willing to travel throughout the area
- The ability to collaborate or work independently, and be adept at juggling priorities.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
