Production Section Leader Required
Our client is a well-established, contract electronics manufacturer based in Nottingham, where they have operated for over 100 years, making them the go-to for all technology companies.
With their diverse experience, and talented team, they work across a range of industries including but not limited to Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial, and Aviation.
Production Section Leader – Position Overview
- To manufacture quality products efficiently and deliver them on time.
- Ensure all team members are fully trained and the training matrix is up to date.
- Ensure the team members are regularly rotated onto the different activities in the cell.
- Manage the team’s holidays, sickness, overtime and return to work.
- Manage the teams start, finish and break times.
- Ensure hourly, daily, and weekly targets are set for all team members/cells.
- Escalate any issues or line stops that will affect productivity to the production manager.
- Ensure all production orders are fully completed and delivered to the dispatch area on time, ensuring all Baan transactions are completed before delivery.
- Attend weekly production, quality & diagnostic meetings.
- Ensure all Baan transactions are completed as shown in the procedures.
- Ensure high standard products by driving a “quality culture” within your teams and resolving any quality issues.
- Work with the quality team to review the results from out of box and in process audits. Action all recommendations from the audits.
- Prepare the capacity plan in rotation with the other section leaders.
- Ensure your work area is clean and tidy and promote the principles of 5S and Lean.
Production Section Leader – Position Requirements
- Proven background as section leader in manufacturing
- Electronics qualifications or similar experience
- Microsoft Packages and experience of MRP systems
- High energy levels and a strong drive to achieve.
- Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic.
- Can do attitude to make things happen.
- Thrive in high pressure situations and able to handle multiple problems simultaneously.
- Strong Leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Production Section Leader – Position Remuneration
- Starting Salary: £25k – £29k DOE
- Mon – Fri 7:30am – 3:30pm
- 26-days holiday + Bank Holidays
- 2 optional days off a year for charity events e.g., Marathon
