    Hays is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a Tier 1 Construction Company located in Northern Ireland. Operating in sectors including but not limited to Commercial, Educational, Civil Engineering, Residential, Retail, and Industrial, your new company has an unbroken reputation for quality and excellence from its storied operating history. Operating across the UK & Ireland, your new company has a recent project history including some of the most critical civil engineering and construction projects currently being undertaken, including universities, infrastructure schemes, and large-scale commercial projects that have shaped the construction sector.

    As Project Manager within this company, you will oversee the full delivery & buildability of projects with the ongoing support of dedicated site teams and senior management.
    Your new Role
    As Project Manager, you will be working under an experienced, professional Senior Manager to deliver high-quality commercial projects within mainland Britain.Your initial scheme will be a £40+ million project that will shape the local area and add value to the community in a major UK city. Working as the Senior Manager number 2 within the team, you’ll help direct your management staff to ensure that the £40m project is delivered to the highest standards, in as cost and time efficient manner possible. Your new company prides itself on its collaborative attitude towards its clientele, team members and subcontractors, and you will help ensure every project meets the standards directed by the client.
    Working alongside subcontractors, other site stakeholders, supply chain, and client needs, this will be a challenging yet rewarding role. Managing one large scale project and ensuring quality and health and safety are adhered too. You will develop revenue streams and ensure project delivery while keeping close to the detail on the ground and liaising with all teams, such as those with the commercial, planning, design and subcontractors on site.
    Your site will be fully stocked with Engineers and Site Management teams for you to guide and instruct along the way, taking the project from inception to handover, inclusive of steel frame structure, façades, to internal fit out.
    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    To be willing to work in mainland Britain five days a week. All flights and accommodation will be provided on Monday morning and Friday afternoon. This site is very accessible to the local airport. A degree in construction management, engineering (or equivalent) or proven trade experience at the same or similar level to a project manager.Proven experience in construction management in a commercial construction role or equivalent, with experience working with several subcontractors who interface with each other.The ability to understand and resolve complex problems in the fast-paced environment of construction. Proficiency in Project Management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. You must be computer (IT) literate. Relevant construction management tickets, such as an SMSTS ticket or NVQ level 6. A First Aid at Work Qualification (Preferred).
