    We are looking for a Proposal Manager
     at our facility in Houston, TX, for working with Regional Sales personnel to identify customer’s project requirements related to Gas Turbine, Power Turbine and Package upgrades and overhauls and controls upgrades.

     

    How You’ll Make an Impact:
     

    • Support Regional Sales personnel in pursuit of integrated solutions projects and assisting in developing sales strategies to win bids.
    • Coordinating and preparing integrated Solutions comprising of various facets of these Modernizations & Upgrades and Repair and Overhaul proposals.
    • Providing Project Management Support for the development of comprehensive sales proposals, which will result in orders from customers for the gas turbine engine, package auxiliary equipment, in Compression and electric generator applications of the Siemens Aeroderivative product line.
    • Developing cost and margin analysis, project and business risk analysis, bid approval and handover documentation as required by the Business Approval Authorities.
    • Responsible for preparation and presentation of proposal documentation for the Product Line, regional entities and the Customer.
    • Management of the bid preparation process under PM@Siemens and sub processes & tools.
    • Management of the project handover process to project execution in the Region and Business Unit.
    • Deliver continuous improvement of internal processes to improve efficiency of bid management.
    • Leadership and influence across cross functional teams & multiple product line teams to ensure consistent On Time Delivery to the Customer.
    • 15% international travel required.

     

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience.
    • Full term of experience must include: Knowledge and experience of Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines and Power Turbines;
    • Building complex financial calculation sheets to facilitate bidding of multi-entity complex commercial offers;
    • Working on techno-commercial offers for modifications and upgrades for O&G equipment, including controls system;
    • Leading and supporting Latin American region customer negotiations for complex modifications and upgrades opportunities for Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine Packages;
    • Working with Project Management Tools such as SAP and CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com;
    • Working on techno-commercial offers for overhauls of aero-derivative gas turbines and power turbines including field service quotations; and
    • Building/supporting regional go to market sales strategies including customer account plans and bid support.
    • 15% international travel required.
