A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Quality inspector to
support all inspection activities within our
locations, as well as with customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for implementing
quality control measures on the shop floor and ensuring compliance with quality
standards across various manufacturing processes. This role is crucial in
maintaining high-quality standards across our manufacturing operations,
ensuring compliance with international and customer standards, and contributing to continuous improvement
initiatives
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage quality control throughout production
process, from raw materials to finished products, following established plans and
specifications. - Inspect and approve incoming materials by
confirming specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, performing NDT/PMI
as applicable, and rejecting/returning unacceptable materials. - Track and document all incoming materials in a
centralized database, ensuring proper association
with relevant paperwork. - Witness hydrostatic testing and ensure it is
carried out in accordance with specified work
instructions and procedures. - Perform line-checks of pipe spools for complete
gas compressor trains using P&IDs and GA
drawings. - Verify alignment of major buyouts (e.g.,
motors, gearboxes, and compressors). - Conduct dimensional inspections of base frames
and customer tie points, ensuring all measurements
are within specified tolerances. - Verify DFTs of painted components upon receipt
and sign off on relevant reports. - Evaluate radiographic films and incorporate in
welds summary reports of key findings before
customer submission. - Attend stage inspections related to lube oil
consoles, seal gas panels, coolers, etc., for
compressor packages and ensure adherence to ITP and generate
reports. - Lead flushing and FAT activities for lube oil
skids, coolers and seal gas panels - Conduct inspections of fabrication activities
during cutting, fit-ups, weld preparation, and final welds.
- Maintain measurement equipment by following
operating instructions and calibration requirements
and arranging repairs when necessary. - Utilize CMM and laser alignment tools with
hands-on experience. - Promote a safety culture on the shop floor and
coordinate safety topics with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. - Apply working knowledge of international
standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, EN, etc
What You Bring
- Holds a degree/diploma in Mechanical
Engineering - Demonstrate 8 to 10 years of experience in a
relevant role. - Familiarity with both rotating and static
equipment. - Proficient in pipe and structure fabrication
processes. - Hold certifications in CSWIP 3.1, NDT Level II,
and BGAS. - Proficiency in using CMM and laser alignment
tools - Strong understanding of international quality
standards (ASME, API, ASTM, EN, etc.) and Aramco - standards (SAMSS, SAES, SAEP, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to
work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and problem-solving
skills - Ability to read and interpret technical
drawings and specifications
