A snapshot of your day
As part of basic research, you will
independently carry out analytical and numerical analyses to evaluate component
load-bearing capacity in structural mechanics and dynamics. They develop
calculation methods and carry out basic tests that are used as the basis for
the development of our high-voltage products. In close coordination with the
test fields, the colleagues of the development projects and partners of the
company, you will support the development of our high-voltage products.
How you
can make a difference
– Carrying out structural analyses and strength assessments of
components analytically as well as by means of FEM
– Implementation of optimization measures to increase component
strength, weight reduction and damage tolerance
– Preparation of standard and standard-compliant strength verifications
in German and English
– New and further development of simulation tools and calculation
methods, including the creation of macros
– Familiarization with standards and regulations
– Collaboration and support of development and customer projects
– Support in the planning of qualification tests of high-voltage
switchgear and its components
– Development of technical solutions in cooperation with the respective
projects
– Documentation and communication of calculation results
– Comparison of test and simulation results
– Supervision of basic experiments
What you
bring to the table
– Completed studies in mechanical engineering, physics or comparable
courses of study
– Experience in static and dynamic strength calculation using FEM
– Practical experience with FEM programs, ideally ANSYS
– Analytical skills and a systematic way of working to solve complex
tasks
– Strong teamwork and communication skills
– Analytical, structured and goal-oriented way of working
– Fluent in English
