A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day starts by collaborating with the Control & Protection (C&P) software platform development team, offering your technical expertise to support HVDC and FACTS project execution. Throughout the day, you will provide solutions for functional and dynamic performance tests (FPT/DPT) as well as factory acceptance tests (FAT), ensuring smooth operations and successful project delivery. You will work closely with team members to analyze technical issues, providing expert guidance and troubleshooting solutions to resolve challenges efficiently.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- provide solutions and technical expertise to HVDC and FACTS project execution
- support functional and dynamic performance tests (FPT/DPT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT)
- analyze technical issues and cooperate with technical experts to provide solutions
- continuously learn about Siemens Energy HVDC and FACTS C&P systems and their application in project execution
- work closely with customer project execution teams
- use C&P software components, communication protocols, and analytic tools to troubleshoot issues
- provide practical solutions and help improve project execution workflows
What You Bring
- successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field
- experience with Linux and Windows OS on the CLI
- knowledge of network communication basics (IPv4: TCP/UDP), Familiarity with protocol converters and control center connections
- experience with communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, OPC UA, and DNP3 (optional)
- fluent in English and German, strong analytical skills, initiative, and a problem-solving attitude
- experience working in a team and excellent communication skills
