Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to primary school students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to deliver targeted interventions and tailored support.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of every student.
- Encourage the development of social skills and independent learning, empowering students to achieve their full potential.
- Work in partnership with parents, teachers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for each child.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK-based primary school setting.
- Deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by students with SEN.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and an unwavering passion for working with children with special needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education are highly desirable.
