SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Oldham
Pay: £90+ per day
Start: After Easter
GSL Educaion are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, for a vibrant and supportive Primary School in Oldham, after Easter. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for working with children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1) and possesses a good understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to children with SEN, particularly those with ASC, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
- Facilitate a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the SENCO to monitor and support the children s educational and social development.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to SEN.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with EYFS or KS1 children.
- Possess a good understanding of ASC/Autism and effective strategies to support learners with these needs.
- Be skilled in managing 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Hold a relevant degree or qualification equivalent to the role.
