Senior Electrical Engineer; Power Systems – Service Engineering

    (EAD) – Service Engineering are seeking a highly skilled
    and motivated Power System Study Engineer to join our dynamic team! The
    successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive power
    system studies, including load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, transient
    stability studies, Arc Flash and protection coordination. This role requires a
    deep understanding of power systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability
    to work collaboratively with multiple teams across the company.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    Analyze and interpret study results to provide
    recommendations for system improvements and optimization.

    Collaborate with project teams to verify live
    the model based on live testing.

    ·        
    Prepare technical reports and presentations to
    communicate study findings and recommendations to internal and external
    stakeholders.

    Support Sales and Proposals team to define
    solutions

    ·        
    Must be proficient in planning workload and
    specific tasks and be able to achieve completion dates.

    ·        
    Interface directly to customers to answer
    questions and resolve issues.


    What You Bring

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a
    related field is required; a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a
    related field is preferred.

    ·        Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system
    analysis and studies; Candidates with more experience may be eligible for a
    more senior level role.

    ·        Proficiency in power system analysis software
    such as PSS®E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Matlab Simulink or similar is
    required; Strong understanding of power system theory,
    including load flow, short circuit, stability, Arc Flash and protection
    coordination.

    ·        Industry knowledge in Marine, Oil & Gas, or
    Process Related Industries and Applications is preferred; Experience in one of
    the Siemens Energy specific power system technologies is also preferred.

    ·        Marine, Drilling or Offshore class regulations
    experience is preferred

    ·        
    Mostly domestic with some international travel
    to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities is required (up to approx.
    30%).

    All candidates must be authorized or able to obtain
    authorization to work in the United States.
