A Snapshot of Your Day
The Service Sales Leader (SSL) is a customer facing role that is focused on large Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator service sales and is responsible for maintaining and increasing our market share. This role has the overall responsibility for customer service and technical support of service opportunities within their respective territory as well as finding opportunity growth potential, responding to, and expediting commercial requests.
The SSL will be working closely with a platform team that includes Key Account Managers, Field Service Operations, and a service proposal team. The platform team’s goal is to grow business opportunities, expedite customer response time and improve customer relationships through service sales and outage planning.
This SSL role supports our Chicago district office, and the fleet of customers covered by that district office. The role can be out of Chicago; to be closer to our customers while maintain close contact with HQ in Orlando to create the proposals. Or it can be based in Orlando; collaborating closely with the Chicago district office with the expectations to travel as necessary to attend customer meetings, specially TMS outage preparation meetings.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Participate in customer facing meetings to identify customer needs, market drivers and act as the voice of customer internally.
- Plan and develop a winning bid and pricing strategy for selling service, parts, upgrades and/or modernizations that meet our customer’s requirements.
- Review and analyze Customer requests and disseminate the information to the appropriate support groups.
- Collaborate with Field Service Operations to review cost estimates and project scheduling to ensure Customer’s satisfaction.
- Responsible for maintaining opportunities and information in CRM tools (SalesForce). Submit CPQs, integrate offers and lead the LoA process as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering. 5+ years of combined experience in Sales and Marketing. Preferably with Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine Field Service experience!
- Excellent customer support with proven communication and negotiation skills!
- Proficient in the development of complex commercial service-related offerings.
- Basic understanding in Salesforce.com, Tableau, & Statistical Analysis is preferred.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

This job may be based in Chicago, Illinois. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position in Chicago, Illinois could start between $84k-$120k and the annual incentive target is 15% of base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
