    Site Agent required for Scottish Water Works in Inverness / Highland area

    Your new company

    Working for a leading construction company who work in the Civil Engineering and Utilities sector, you will join the team as a Site Agent on an ongoing temporary basis. This job is based in the Inverness area, with projects across the Highlands. Offering a competitive hourly rate and a long-term contract, this contract would suit an experienced Site Agent or Site Manager.

    Your new role

    In your new role as a Site Agent, you will manage the day-to-day running of a Scottish Water project in the Inverness area. Working with your team to deliver the project as per the design, programme and budget will be your responsibility. You will also take ownership of the management of the health & safety of the site and carry out safety briefings, tool box talks, site inductions, review method statements and risk assessments and promote safe working practices across the site. On a daily basis, you will manage direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring all operatives and machines are working safely. You will work with the wider team to troubleshoot on site and resolve issues to allow the site to progress. Other duties will include organising plant and materials and organising labour on site.

    What you’ll need to succeed

    In this role you will be required to have previous experience in a Site Management role and have a track record in the civil engineering or water sector. You must hold a valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, DOMS and a First Aid Certificate. This role will require you to hold a full driving licence as you may be travelling between sites. You must be well-organised, have the ability to lead a team and have excellent communication skills.

    This role offers you the opportunity to secure a long-term contract with a reputable contractor in the Inverness area. You will be paid a competitive hourly rate of pay weekly via Hays. This role may be extended or lead to a permanent opportunity.
