Description:
We are looking for a skilled experienced farm operative that can undertake a range of tasks. The ideal person will have at least 5 years’ experience working on an arable farm, be proactive with excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Your duties may include but are not limited to:
• Relief Second sprayer driver (Bateman 36m sprayer)
• Avadexing with Bateman sprayer
• Compost Spreading
• Relief drill man
• Machine maintenance
Requirements
The ideal person will have:
• PA1 & PA2 spraying certificate
• Full drivers’ licence
• Competent, experienced machinery operator
• Experience working on farms of large-scale operations
• An understanding of precision farming and diligent record keeping
• Good attention to detail
• Self-motivated approach and good use of own initiative
• Experience of GPS and precision farming techniques beneficial
• At least 5 years of farming experience
• Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Be flexible with a can – do attitude
• Be hardworking
• Be conscientious and take pride in their work
• Willing to take responsibility and ownership
