Job Title: Band 7 Sonographer – Gynaecology / GeneralLocation: EdinburghContract: 5 Months, Ongoing (Full Time – Locum)Pay Rate: £65-£70 per hour
Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 7 Sonographer specialising in Gynaecology and General ultrasound to join a dynamic imaging team in Edinburgh. This full-time locum role offers excellent hourly rates alongside the opportunity to work within a supportive NHS environment, gaining exposure to a diverse range of ultrasound cases while further enhancing your clinical expertise.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations with a focus on gynaecology and general imaging

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the ultrasound pathway

Produce accurate diagnostic findings and maintain high clinical reporting standards

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with departmental standards

Keep up to date with advancements in ultrasound technology and professional best practice
Person SpecificationEssential

HCPC registration or equivalent professional registration

Proven experience working as a Band 7 Sonographer

Competency in both gynaecology and general ultrasound examinations

Strong communication, organisational and clinical reporting skills

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable

Previous NHS experience

Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound
