A Snapshot of Your Day
- Knowledge – B31.3 / B 31.3 piping design, 3D CAD with Siemens – NX 1899 (Modeling, Drafting, Mechanical Routing), Knowledge of Teamcenter 12 (Globus), SAP (Atlas).
- Knowledge of other 3D Plant Design Systems, e.g. AVEVA – E3D or Bentley – Open Plant desirable, Thorough knowledge of consultant’s piping specifications with Valves, industrial piping design & fabrication.
- Knowledge & exposure of international standards / code like: ASME / ASTM / API / AWS, relevant to Piping, Preparation of – piping components specification for procurement, piping drawings and MTO.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Experience/ Exposure to work with & interpretation of technical specifications of – world-class consultants/EPCs like: EIL / L&T / Linde / Air Liquide / Air Products / Worley etc.
- Basic knowledge of – Rotating equipment compressor/ Pumps & other Mechanical items, engineering calculations, interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Reading and Preparation of Package Engineering drawings like P&I Diagram, General Arrangement, Foundation Plan, piping plan and piping isometric drawings.
- Proficiency in various office software such as Microsoft Office (Project, Excel), Adobe PDF, SAP, and Team Center to support project execution. Strong digital literacy with practical experience in Microsoft Office.
- Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to collaborate optimally with colleagues. Quick learning and adaptability are important qualities. Experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of a production planning and schedule-based environment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering with 8 – 12 years in crafting of systems, 3Dmodels developments, component design, cataloging of piping, for rotating equipment systems.
- Development / piping Isometrics, structural design drawing and MTO (Bill of Material), Interpretation of simulations studies and implementation of study results (Stress Analysis, Pulsation analysis etc.)
- Basis calculations for pipe, sizing, pressure drops and other ripping related sizes, Liaise with client / Consultant – for technical matters, drawing approval, 3-D Model review, Support fabrication and packaging at Siemens shop / site
- Exposure to ERP System i.e. Oracle, SAP etc. will be added advantage, Order related Engineering for Integrally Geared Compressor Package Design, in order of contract specifications.
- Supporting Basic Engineering and creation of first issue of documentation, Ensuring compliance to Contract, EDI (Engineering Design Instruction), Quality checklists & 4-Eye Principles, Creation of Technical Concepts & special solutions pertaining to Package Integration and Layout
- Project Budgets (Engineering Hours) & Schedule alignment, 3D CAD modeling of entire Compressor Train, Creation of Layout drawings, General Arrangements, Piping Plans, Foundation plans, cable routing plans etc for compressor packages.
- 3D Pipe Modeling and generation of fabrication isometrics, Planning, Modelling and extracting drawings of pipe supports in Siemens-NX, Assembly modelling of 3D Components like base frames, coupling guards, steel structures and platforms and generation of drawings, Creation of Bill of Materials for ordering of pipe and components
