The Technical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the technological aspects of the repair service center, ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of repair technologies. This role involves driving innovation, optimizing repair processes, and providing technical support to the repair team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, extensive experience in technology management, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Technology Management:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of repair technologies and equipment.
- Ensure that all technological tools and systems are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
2. Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement technological solutions to improve repair processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Utilize data analytics and other tools to monitor and optimize repair workflows.
3. Innovation:
- Drive innovation by researching and integrating new technologies and methodologies into the repair service center.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in repair technologies.
4. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to the repair team, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring high-quality repairs.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
5. Project Management:
- Lead and manage technology-related projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and completion.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
6. Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure the repair team is proficient in using the latest technologies and tools.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure all repairs meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
8. Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including operations, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration of technologies.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source and implement new technologies.
9. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring the best products and services are procured.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to secure favorable terms.
10. Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the technology budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
11. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all technological tools and systems comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a safe working environment and conduct regular safety training and drills.
12. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on technology performance, including key metrics and KPIs, to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify trends, forecast needs, and make data-driven decisions.
What You Bring
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technology management role, preferably within a repair or service center environment.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of repair technologies (welding, coating, and CNC machining), tools, and methodologies, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience leading technology-related projects.
• Innovation: Proven ability to drive innovation and implement new technologies.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
