Test Automation Architect 12 Month Contract Remote, UK £300pd outside IR35
Test Automation Architect Are you passionate about driving quality through innovative test automation? Do you thrive in fast-paced Agile environments? Our client, a leading player in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Senior Test Automation Architect to join their dynamic team.About the Role: As a Test Automation Architect, you’ll be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge test automation strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions in the telecom space. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks that support continuous integration and delivery.The role will be fully remote from within the UK for an initial 12 months, likely running on for a further 12 months. This role can pay up to £300pd Outside IR35. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Test Data Management (TDM) strategies and automation
- Design and execute API, contract-based, and database testing
- Develop automated test scripts using SpecFlow, .NET, and NUnit framework
- Implement Test Driven Development (TDD) approaches
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to enhance testability and maintainability
- Monitor test execution, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement
- Create comprehensive test documentation, including strategies, plans, and reports
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in creating effective automation test strategies and frameworks
- Strong proficiency in at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C#)
- Experience with BDD and tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in version control using Git
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environments
- Expertise in various test types: Functional, API, web, and mobile
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Tricentis Tosca, or Keysight EggPlant
- Knowledge of WPF application testing
- Understanding of test automation pyramid in Agile methodology
- Experience in managing teams and stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of CPQ applications
- Telecommunications industry experience
