Learning Academy Partnership
Location: Flexible
Closing date: Friday 15 th November 2024 at 9:00am
Do you have strong financial experience? Would you like to use your expertise to contribute to the strategic direction of an exciting organisation, responsible for the education of over 1500 children in the South West?
Learning Academy Partnership is seeking to appoint a new Trustee with a strong knowledge and understanding of finance and financial compliance.
Learning Academy Partnership SW (LAPSW) is a multi-academy trust founded in 2012. It currently has seventeen primary academies, including both faith and community academies. Our schools reflect the communities they serve and work together in five Hubs which are in Cornwall, South Devon, South Hams, Torquay and West Devon.
Our Trust is committed to social mobility and a culture of belonging. We invest in people to ensure every child is taught by the very best teachers so that we can achieve social change and all children flourish. We believe:
- We are stronger together – we deliver and achieve more than we could ever do individually.
- In a sense of belonging – every member of our School Trust matters and knows that they belong.
- In removing barriers – ensuring that where you begin does not limit your horizons.
- In realising the possible – you cannot be what you cannot see.
As a Trustee you will work as part of the Board, in partnership with the CEO, to set the strategic direction of the Trust. In challenging times financially, it is important we are prudent in terms of the use of resources. As such, we are seeking a Trustee who can support us in ensuring we secure best value for money whilst remaining compliant at all times.
As an inclusive Trust that has both community and church schools, we would ask that Trustees are supportive of the Christian ethos of our Church schools but having a faith is not a requirement of the role.
If you have the requisite experience for the role, and share our passion and commitment in helping every child, regardless of background or ability, to realise their potential, we’d love to hear from you.
To find out more and register your interest for the role, please contact Dave Lancaster at
The closing date for application is Friday 15 th November 2024 at 9:00am. However, the Trust reserves the right to close early and therefore encourages early applications.
Learning Academy Partnership is committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. An enhanced disclosure from the DBS will be required for all roles. All candidates will also be subject to an online search for information about you as part of our due diligence and commitment to safeguarding.
