Unqualified Science Teacher + Teacher Training
An “Outstanding” Secondary School in the South Central London Borough of Bexley are on the hunt for an Unqualified Science Teacher for an ASAP start. This is a full-time and long-term position for the full academic year, with the option to progress onto SALARIED teacher training, or the ability to claim a tax-free bursary up to £29,000!
What will the role of an Unqualified Science Teacher involve?
- Providing high quality cover lessons across the Science Department – Year 7 to Year 10
- Working predominantly within your subject specialism, i.e Physics, Chemistry or Biology
- Teaching pre-planned material & lessons with minimal need to adapt
- Working as part of a large team of Science Teachers, including highly experienced teachers and younger, newer teachers to the profession
- Raising attainment & the quality of learning
- Inspiring & motivating young minds
- Managing behavior effectively
- ASAP Start – Full Time – Term Time Only
- £140 per day/£700 per week before tax
The Head Teacher would ideally like a graduate with any of the following Science related degrees:
- Biology (Science)
- Chemistry (Science)
- Geology (Science)
- Physics (Science)
- Natural Sciences (Science)
- Mathematics & Physics (Science)
- Environmental Science (Science)
- Geography & Environmental Science (Science)
- Health Science (Science)
- Healthcare & Fitness (Science)
- Any STEM related degree (Science)

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Strong understanding of the Science curriculum required
- Previous tutoring or group teaching experience beneficial
- Confident speaker
- Science Graduate with a 2:1 or 1st class degree
- Strong A Levels and GCSEs
- Able to commit full time, for the remainder of the academic year
