We are looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to join our team. You’ll coordinate logistics for our flagship events and advocacy activities, ensuring their smooth running and helping us to reach key external audiences including political, external organisations and partners, supporters and donors.

As this role covers the whole of Wales, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home that can accommodate you. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40-60% of your working week.

What you’ll be doing:
Working as part of the External Affairs team, you’ll help to raise awareness of National Trust Cymru’s work by supporting the development and delivery of an annual programme of events in Wales. From our presence at political party conferences and advocacy events at the Senedd and Westminster, to flagship external events such as the Royal Welsh Show and National Eisteddfod, along with support for our philanthropic events in Wales.
You’ll help to bring events to life and will be responsible for coordinating logistics, supporting colleagues from initial planning through to set up, delivery and evaluation.
You’ll be highly organised, an excellent team player and confident building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for:
To deliver this role successfully, you’ll need:
- experience of event co-ordination
- excellent verbal and written communicator, with great interpersonal skills
- an understanding of the cultural, political and stakeholder landscape in Wales
- the ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work at pace
- the ability to carry out research, monitor external trends, measure and evaluate outputs
