Based Manchester – M40

Salary – £12.21 per hour, 40 hours per week Monday – Friday including paid breaks

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative/FLT Counterbalance Operator to join our warehouse team in Manchester (M40). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the safe and effective handling of materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials.
• Manage the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any defects to ensure the safety and integrity of the equipment is maintained.
• Perform other duties, as required, within the warehouse environment
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and assist in stock management using warehouse management systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required.

Requirements

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.
• Minimum of 12 months FLT experience within a fast paced accurate environment.
• Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping.
• Experience in load unloading and materials handling within a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK as visa sponsorship cannot be provided
