In our latest spotlight series, Izzy caught up with emerging & breakthrough talented artist Finn Forster to discuss his new single Pablo, out on the 14th November, Pablo was written by Finn as a tribute to his best friend, who he met at college. Pablo went home to visit his family in Iran when he was 21 years old, and wasn’t able to return. What was supposed to be a couple of weeks away turned into almost 6 years, and this song explores Finn’s emotions around not seeing Pablo for years, and then reconnecting once he was finally able to come back to the UK. Finn is getting ready for his almost sold out UK & Ireland headline tour!

He’ll kick things off at The Globe in Cardiff on 10th November, and make his way around cities including Bristol (sold out), London where he’ll play a sold out Camden Assembly on 12th November, Manchester (for two shows, one sold out), a hometown show at Middlesbrough’s Empire, and then will wrap things up in Dublin at the Sound House, on 18th November. The singer has just played a show as part of Mercury Prize Newcastle Fringe, and also supported pop royalty, JADE recently at the BBC Proms also in Newcastle.

Fun story here: Finn shared a dressing room with host Greg James, and they got along very well! On stage following Finn’s performance, Greg said, “Can we just take a minute to appreciate the unreal vocals of Finn Forster?” This Summer alone saw Finn support the mighty Stereophonics on their UK & European stadium tour, and also play festivals including Reading & Leeds and Kendal Calling.

Finn has also just revealed 3 live videos of him performing in Amsterdam on the Stereophonics tour, which can be seen here. Finn Forster released his EP, Embers earlier this year. Singles from the 4-track body of work have gone on to receive solid support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and 2, Radio X (for whom Finn recorded a live session for) and more, plus playlist inclusions from platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.
